in short, the Moody family is one of which any parent and any land might be justly proud.

Daily Gleaner, June 14, 1920

The Moodys had six children - five boys and a girl. Two of the boys became doctors, two became dentists, and one a lawyer; their daughter was a nurse. Harold and Ludlow were the doctors; Charles Aston and Ronald were dentists, though Ronald achieved fame as a sculptor; Locksley was the lawyer, and Elise the nurse.

If you have looked at the sites on Harold Moody you will know about his work in England, especially with the Congregational Church, and the League of Coloured People, so here I will just say a little about the others.

Elise Viola Moody was born about 1884; she trained as a nurse at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital, and worked as a nurse in the Corporate Area; she died in August 1973.
